Project description
For this bathroom, the residents selected the materials themselves in consultation with us. Factors such as the wattage of the radiator and the underfloor heating were important in determining whether a new circuit needed to be installed. The sanitary ware and tiles were supplied by an external supplier and professionally installed by us.
Project challenges/wishes
The existing bathroom was outdated (built around 1992). A new bathroom was to be fitted in the same location, one that would meet modern standards.
There was no toilet connection in place yet
We needed to have underfloor heating fitted
A central extraction system had to be installed
Project solutions
In order to meet the requirements, a number of adjustments had to be made.
Install a sewer connection that meets current requirements, including a 110mm pipe running through the ceiling to the main connection
In order to install the underfloor heating alongside an electric radiator, an additional circuit had to be fitted in the meter cupboard
Ventilation units were installed in the loft to take up as little space as possible
